Kae moved to Boston in the early 1990’s, so her knowledge of many different neighborhoods in and around Boston is personal. As someone who was able to take advantage of a first time home buyer program to purchase her first home, she feels committed to helping her clients gain knowledge about the market and their financing options so that they will feel confident in their decision making.
Originally trained as an art historian and photographer, she spent a number of years working in the US and abroad assisting individual and institutional clients with the acquisition of archives and scholarly materials related to the fine arts, architecture and design studies. She earned a Master of Fine Arts in 2004 from Tufts University/School of the Museum of Fine Arts while working at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She later transitioned into a role as a business analyst for Harvard University’s Alumni Affairs and Development operations group, where she worked collaboratively with stakeholder groups on a university-wide presidential initiative to standardize business processes, practices, and technology. While working for the university she also earned a master’s degree in Sustainability and Environmental Management.
During this program she was part of a team engaged to design a LEED building program for a residential multi-unit building renovation in Barcelona, Spain, which spurred an interest in real estate from the perspective of adaptive reuse and urban planning and development.
Currently Kae splits her time between work in technology and real estate, while leveraging opportunities to learn from her mentors and clients. In her spare time, Kae is a passionate photographer, loves cycling and yoga, live music- especially jazz, blues and funk- and working on imaginative large scale sculpture and installation projects with friends at the Artisan’s Asylum and other makerspaces in the Boston area.
